DESCRIPTION:Mark Field will be our speaker. \n \nThe Rt Hon. Mark Field is a former Member of Parliament (2001–2019) for the Cities of London and Westminster and served as Minister of State for Asia and the Pacific at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office. During his time in government\, he led the UK’s economic diplomacy across Asia\, overseeing key bilateral relationships with China\, In \ndia\, Japan and ASEAN\, and strengthening trade and security partnerships with Australia and New Zealand. \nA graduate of St Edmund Hall\, Oxford\, Mark began his career as a solicitor with Freshfields before founding and selling two successful start-up businesses. He is the author of Between the Crashes (2013)\, The Best of Times (2016)\, and his memoir The End of an Era (2025). \nSince leaving Parliament\, he has built a portfolio career in financial services and corporate governance\, serving as Chair\, Non-Executive Director and senior adviser to a range of UK and international businesses\, with particular expertise in audit\, risk\, remuneration and consumer duty oversight.
