Steve Wood – Rotary Radio UK

Steve Wood spent 35 years working in the City, mainly with the old Eagle Star Insurance Company as a personnel manager in the Investment department, which later became Threadneedle Asset Management. In 1994 he became the managing partner of IMR Recruitment Consultants and stayed there for the rest of the time in the City. The latter part of his career was spent at Kent County Council as the Teacher Recruitment & Retention Manager, a job he describes as the best he ever had.

A Rotarian since 1990 Steve set up Rotary Radio UK with colleague John Robinson 5 years ago. He is also Chair of the Kingfisher Medway Trust, a charity that gives trips on the River Medway to disadvantaged people in a purpose-built boat. He has been married to Claire for 48 years and has two sons.
